DescriptionWSP is currently seeking a Mechanical Plumbing Designer to join our Buildings Mechanical team at our Calgary, Alberta office. Reporting to the Director, Mechanical Engineering, this position will be responsible for the plumbing design of a variety of institutional, light industrial, commercial, healthcare, and recreational buildings.

What you can expect to do here:
- Develop design documents, plans, schematics, reports, and calculations in compliance with client standards, company standards, and applicable local code and regulation
- Provide technical support to the design team and Project Managers
- Provide knowledge of National Plumbing Code
- Drafting of plumbing systems in Revit
- On-site mechanical investigations, audits, and reviews
- Writing technical and field investigation reports
- Attend project design and construction meetings with clients and contractors.
- Review equipment shop drawings and carry out construction administrative tasks.
What you’ll bring to WSP:
- Diploma from a technical university/college in Mechanical Technology or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Knowledge and experience of CSA Healthcare codes is an asset
- Proven expertise using Revit
- Knowledge of MS Office 365 software tools
- Strong verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively when managing multiple tasks
- Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and electrical drawings with minimum supervision
- Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team environment
